The Agricultural Retailers Association’s (ARA) annual Conference & Expo is the “can’t miss” event for agricultural retailers and distributors.  Sponsorship of this event provides a valuable opportunity to promote your company’s products and services to the nation’s top agricultural retailers and distributors.  

ARA values sponsor contributions and works hard to ensure that each sponsor receives proper recognition for their support. This may include recognition and possible advertisements in ARA publications, a potential speaking opportunity, free tickets to a specific activity and other unique benefits.

Sponsorship Impact on Board Seats
For ARA members, one of the more significant benefits of sponsorship is the potential for your company to obtain a seat on ARA’s board of directors. Of the 44 companies that currently have representation on ARA’s board, 11 of these board seats are occupied by representatives from the companies that make the largest annual financial contribution to ARA when their annual dues and sponsorships are totaled.

o    Newsletter is distributed to over 2,500 contacts (a value of $500/ad).
o    Ads are provided by the sponsor and may run before the conference, or any time during the year, if the sponsor’s account is current.
o    Contact ARA for ad specifications and to schedule placement.

•    One page of 8.5” x 11” promotional collateral enclosed in registration packets
•    Complimentary meeting space available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Note additional details regarding complimentary meeting space provided on page 3.
•    Option to place a banner ad that will run for one month on the ARA website – www.aradc.org.  Ad space is limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. Contact ARA to schedule placement.
•    Opportunity to request one registration list (individual’s name and company) prior to conference.
•    Conference attendee mailing labels – by request only

ARA has available a limited amount of contracted space for these side meetings, and we anticipate the space to fill up in 2012. We cannot guarantee that every company that wants space will be able to secure it, so applying early will be important.  Only companies who are current members of ARA are eligible to obtain side meeting space.

After the October 15 cutoff for submission of reservation forms, available space will be allocated first to confirmed Platinum and Gold conference sponsors. In the case of conflict, preference will be given to events continuing from the prior year.  If space remains after this allocation, it will be allocated to confirmed Silver and Bronze sponsors. There is no charge for the meeting space.  The Tuesday afternoon slot for the CropLife Magazine Retailer Roundtable is an exception to the sponsorship requirement because of in-kind conference publicity offered to ARA.

The costs of food & beverage, audio visual expenses and other direct costs of the side meeting are the responsibility of the host company.  ARA can assist hosts in making catering and service arrangements with the hotel – contact Peggy Findley for this assistance once space has been allocated.  For more information, contact the ARA office at (202) 457-0825.


The ARA Conference includes a number of special events, and sponsorship of these events entitles the sponsoring company to additional benefits as described below:

•    Receptions, Meals and Breaks – Sponsors have the opportunity to distribute their company’s literature and/or a branded premium item at their sponsored reception, break, dinner, etc.
•    ARAPAC Dinner & Auction – Sponsors receive 8 complimentary tickets to this event on Wednesday, Nov. 28, on the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier and Museum in San Diego.
•    New Member, First-Time Attendee and VIP Reception – Recognition on event invitations distributed by ARA and opportunity to distribute branded premium items at the event.
•    Conference General Session – Sponsors receive recognition in the conference program and by the general session speakers.
•    ARAPAC Golf Tournament – All sponsors are recognized through signage at the event, including signs on sponsored golf holes. Sponsors may also distribute premium items with their logo such as golf balls, golf towels, water bottles, etc.
