Bio
Michael Kennedy serves as the Public Policy Counsel at ARA, advocating on the behalf of agricultural retailers and distributors in Washington, D.C. He is responsible for ARA’s chemical security, labor and trade issues.
Michael has spent the past several years in Washington D.C., as a congressional aide, an industry advocate and as an attorney. With over eight years of legal expertise, he incorporates a legal prospective from a wide range of policy areas.
Prior ARA, Michael managed the Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliate’s (SOCMA) regulatory and legislative advocacy in the areas of security, science policy, regulatory enforcement and occupational safety and health.
In addition to SOCMA, Michael advocated regional transportation issues with the National Association of Regional Council and prosecuted child sex offenders for Galveston County DA’s office (TX).
Mike received his B.S. degree, magna cum laude, from University of Delaware, and his Juris Doctorate in law from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
