Dear Friend of Jack Eberspacher,
By now, you have all heard the sad news of Jack’s passing, and many of you have also heard about an educational trust formed to show our appreciation for Jack’s many years of service to the agriculture industry. The purpose of the trust and this letter is to address the additional needs of Jack’s wife, Jinger, and their two children, Sam, a sophomore at the University of Virginia and Maggie, a senior in high School.
ARA, Wheat and Sorghum Grower Associations have all had discussions about what can be done from an association perspective. Gary Baise, ARA legal counsel and close friend of the Eberspacher family, is working with these associations. While we do not want to interfere with Jack’s former associations’ efforts, we know that there are many past board members from all three associations and industry friends who may want to go further than a memorial fund. Neil Strong has relationships with the wheat and sorghum growers and will help coordinate this effort through Gary Baise.
We have had many conversations with Jinger over the last few months. Her strength for Jack and their children has been amazing. We expect the next weeks and months to also be difficult on Jinger, Sam and Maggie. Knowing that Jack has given so much to ARA and the greater agricultural industry over his career, now we have the opportunity to give back to his family.
College tuition and expenses have risen dramatically over the last few years. Our effort from ag retailers combined with the effort of the wheat and sorghum growers should help meet these education costs. We are hoping that individuals will consider contributions from $250-$1,000 and companies consider from $2,000 to $10,000.
The fund is called the “Sam and Maggie Eberspacher Educational Trust” and your contribution should be sent to: Bank of America, N.A. c/o Carolyn F. Grant, 8300 Greensboro Drive, Suite 500, McLean, VA 22102. Although it may take some time for companies to approve funds, we are hoping that, most of the donations will be sent by the end of August.
On behalf of the Eberspacher family we would like to thank you for your generosity.
