Webinars developed by ARA frequently to address specific information needs in the industry. ARA members are the first to know about these opportunities and receive a discounted or complementary rate for participation. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are also available for participation in some of these programs.
Past webinars include:

Jay
Ellenberger, Deputy Director of Field and External Affairs Division (FEAD) for
the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), will be presenting the agency's
Drift Reduction Technology (DRT) proposal. The DRT program is an effort to
identify and foster the use of pesticide application technologies that can
significantly reduce spray drift in row crop agriculture. ARA members were

Comment and Provide Input on Pollinator Protection Best
Practices Training
Laurie
Davies Adams, Executive Director of the Pollinator Partnership
The North
American Pollinator Protection Campaign (www.nappc.org)
under the management of the Pollinator Partnership ( www.pollinator.org)
is creating a Professional Pesticide Applicator's Continuing Education Credit
Training Module on Protecting Pollinators. The development of this CEC package
is being done with the cooperation of state and federal regulatory agencies,
pesticide manufacturers, bee scientists, beekeeper associations, environmental
groups, pesticide educators and agricultural producers.
The module
will include a workbook, a teacher's guide and several video segments featuring
pesticide applicators demonstrating and suggesting best pesticide application
techniques. The project is still in early development, but a sample video has
been produced to solicit comments, develop contacts for future filming, and
increase the efficacy of the final product.
The purpose
of this webinar was to highlight the importance of pollinator training as well
as to get industry feedback on training and materials.
