Bio

Rex Martin grew up on a farrow to finish swine operation in Camden Arkansas. Rex served as Arkansas State FFA President after which he attended college at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Business. He has been involved in various positions related to environmental regulation and legislation both at the state and federal level for the past 20 years. In his most recent position as Head, Industry Relations for Syngenta, a global seed, biotech and crop protection company, his responsibilities include being the lead contact for national agricultural groups, setting and implementing NAFTA Syngenta Ag Policy along with managing Syngenta’s “Leadership at its Best” training program. Rex has served in many leadership and Board positions inside and outside of the industry including presently serving as the Chair of the Conservation Technology Information Center. He has received the William Larue award from the Southern Crop Production Association, the first recipient of the Kansas Ag Retailers Assn. “Standing TALL” award, the Missouri Corn Growers Assn President’s Award and 2009 Croplife America Workhorse Award recognizing his leadership commitment to those organizations. When he is not working with and for ag organizations, he enjoys skiing along with singing and playing music. Since 1995, Rex has resided with his wife Kristie and daughters Blair and Haley in Springfield Missouri.
