ARA offers a wide variety of educational opportunities and training manuals to keep its members informed and allow them to focus on running their business. 

ARA Annual Conference & Expo:

Each year, more than 600 attendees participate in the Annual ARA Conference and Exposition.  With informative speakers discussing industry issues, a tradeshow featuring over 70 exhibitors displaying the latest products and technology, and endless networking opportunities this is an event not to miss!

ARA Management Academy:

The ARA Management Academy is a 3 day program held each year at Purdue University geared toward building management and leadership excellence for agricultural retailers. 

NH3 Testing Clinics:

In 2009, the ARA partnered with the U.S Department of Transportation the Indiana Plant Food and Agricultural Chemical Association and the Ohio Agribusiness Association to provide on-site clinics where attendees learned how to comply with DOT nurse tank testing requirements. 

Training Materials:

Oil Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Brochure

A brochure available to ARA Members in partnership with the EPA providing answers to questions regarding the EPA Oil Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Program will take effect Nov. 10, 2011.

Security Vulnerability Assessment (SVA) Program

The Agribusiness Security Working Group, as comprised of the Agricultural Retailers Association (ARA), CropLife America (CLA) and The Fertilizer Institute [TFI]) in cooperation with Asmark Institute, has produced a new Web-based tool which will assist agribusiness retailers in conducting a security vulnerability assessment on their retail facility and their transportation practices.

Model Contract

The ARA has developed a Model Fertilizer Contract for its members. This contract confirmation is meant a serve as a voluntary tool designed to help companies better manage their risks and provide the industry with consistent terms and conditions when dealing with suppliers or customers.

NH3 Training Materials

ARA has obtained the rights to reproduce an established safety training program for its members who show the correct procedures for the safe handling of anhydrous ammonia (NH3). Completion of the training course can help individuals meet the state and federal training requirements required for handling and use of NH3.
