The Agricultural Retailers Association, in partnership with three state associations, is holding a regional meeting Oct. 19, 2016, at the Rainwater Conference Center in Valdosta, Ga.
The program will focus on state issues such as algae blooms, the Zika virus, product registrations, fertilizer storage and sales tax exemptions on inputs. Georgia Commissioner of Agriculture Gary Black will address attendees and ARA will offer a summary the association's activities around federal legislative and regulatory issues critical to ag retailers.
A VIP tour of the Sunbelt Ag Expo in Moultrie, Ga., will cap off the day.
Registration is $30 and includes lunch, transportation and admission to the Sunbelt Ag Expo.
Cooperating state associations include the Alabama Agribusiness Council, Florida Fertilizer and Chemical Association, Georgia Agribusiness Council, and Georgia Plant Food Education Society.
ARA encourages members to send employees who may not normally attend the annual ARA Conference or other national industry meetings. Registration is now open.
