Dec 02 2025

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH — The Agricultural Retailers Association (ARA) kicked off the 2025 ARA Conference & Expo today, gathering more than 600 ag retail industry professionals for three days of networking, learning, and collaboration under the theme “Elevating Peak Performance.”

The first day’s programming offered a dynamic mix of educational sessions and networking opportunities designed to inspire and equip ag retailers for the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Morning optional events included the ARA Topgolf Mixer and a Temple Square Tour & Family History Workshop, giving participants the chance to build relationships and experience local culture before the afternoon’s business sessions began.

The conference officially opened with the Retailer-Only Tech Forum: Leveraging Technology to Drive Operational Efficiency in Ag Retail, where speakers shared how ag retailers are using data and technology to streamline operations and improve return on investment.

Later in the afternoon, the Opening General Session featured keynote speaker Lt. Col. (Ret.) Scott Mann, founder of Rooftop Leadership, who inspired attendees with insights on “Leading with Trust: Building Human Connection for Meaningful Impact.” His address focused on how trust and communication drive leadership success across industries — a message resonating strongly with ag retailers navigating an era of rapid change.

ARA President and CEO Daren Coppock also delivered his annual President’s Report, outlining the association’s advocacy work, member initiatives, and future priorities.

“ARA exists to strengthen the business environment for ag retailers while helping our members grow as leaders in their companies and communities,” Coppock said. “This conference is a place where innovation meets purpose — where ideas turn into action for the benefit of agriculture as a whole.”

Attendees concluded the day with the Opening Reception in the Expo, sponsored by Corteva Agriscience and WinField United, where they explored cutting-edge products and connected with industry partners.

ARA Board Chair Amy Asmus, of Asmus Farm Supply, Inc., emphasized the conference’s value in fostering collaboration and shared growth.

“Every year, this event reminds us how much stronger we are when we come together,” Asmus said. “The conversations, connections, and insights shared here fuel the progress that keeps our industry advancing.”
