ARA needs your involvement to strengthen advocacy efforts with Congress and federal agencies to bring about necessary legislation and policies that benefit ag retailers, farmer customers and the entire ag industry.
Registration is open for the Winter Board Meeting and Fly-In in Washington, D.C., from March 2 - 4, 2026.
In 130 meetings with offices on both sides of the aisles in Congress, more than 115 ARA members and industry partners advocated for policies that preserve critical crop input supplies and precision ag technology, modernize transportation infrastructure, and support – not hinder – ag retailers in their role in maintaining a secure food supply chain.

All ARA member representatives are invited to participate because ARA counts on their involvement to facilitate ongoing advocacy with their lawmakers. This event includes meetings between ARA members and elected officials in Congress on Capitol Hill. The ARA Board of Directors and ARA Committees also meet in-person to discuss internal matters related to strategic planning for public policy, member services, conference, and more.
Future fly-ins will be communicated via email and posted to ARA's calendar of events.
“ARA provides a powerful and clear voice on issues important to ag retail as determined by the association’s members," said ARA Public Policy Committee Chair Mike Twining with Willard Agri-Service.
"Together, our influence on policy that is important to the ag retail industry is much greater than when we act individually. Taking time to meet with our elected officials as part of the ARA Fly-In is time incredibly well spent.”
Hunter Carpenter, ARA Senior Director of Public Policy
"Preserving the science-based approach and focus for the EPA was also discussed. Any moves to politicize the agency pose a great danger to agriculture by limiting our ability to handle the challenges of the future."
