ARA Co-Signed a Letter Urging Reauthorization of CFATS

ARA, as a member of the CFATS Coalition, co-signed a letter to Congress urging they reauthorize the critical Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) in the very near term following the program's expiration in July.
The letter references H.R. 4470, the Protecting and Securing Chemical Facilities from Terrorist Attacks of 2023, which was passed by a House vote of 409-1 in July and includes a two-year reauthorization. However, no action was taken in the Senate to prevent its expiration.
Congress must act now to reauthorize the CFATS program to provide tools and safeguards to decrease the risk of terrorist attacks involving chemical facilities.
