ARA Co-Signed Letter Calling USDA to Extend Application Deadlines

ARA and more than 40 organizations co-signed a letter to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Office of Energy and Environmental Policy calling for an extension for both application deadlines by 30 days for "Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities."
While ARA and the undersigned organizations recognize the Department's work to partner through pilot projects intended to deploy climate-smart practices on working lands in a voluntary and incentive-based manner, the short turnaround time is not enough time to compile necessary details required to produce high-quality applications, according to the letter.
