ARA Filed Comments to STB Supporting Revisions to Expedited Service Emergency Relief Regulations

ARA filed comments to the Surface Transportation Board (STB) in support of revisions to regulations for expedited relief for service emergencies. ARA's comments also recommend shortening the timeline further as ag retailers need crop input products delivered in a timelier manner.
ARA supports the proposed revisions because it will help reduce the barriers for shippers seeking emergency service orders and enable STB to address emergency situations more quickly and effectively.
If possible, ARA recommends shortening the timeline further as ag retailers during the season need additional crop input products delivered, especially fertilizer, in a timelier manner as the production of crops is weather dependent and seasonal.
