ARA Sends Letter to Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices on Behalf of Ag Retailers

On Dec. 3, ARA President and CEO Daren Coppock sent a letter to the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices calling for the ag industry to be included in the second phase (Phase 1B) of vaccine distribution.
"Springtime will bring the busiest time of the year for America's farmers and the agricultural retailers who supply and support them," said Coppock in the letter. "A steady supply of food, feed, fuel and fiber will be a critical foundation upon which our economy will recover."
ARA's request is consistent with recommendations of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine's (NASEM) Vaccine Framework and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Vaccine Program Interim Playbook.
