ARA Signed a Letter to Congress on Second PPP Loan for Small Businesses

Aug 05 2020

On Aug. 5, ARA signed a letter to Congress supporting a second Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) for qualifying small businesses and calls for them to expand eligibility to a greater share of struggling small businesses.

By lowering the gross revenue reduction requirement from 50 percent to 20 percent or greater, access to a second round of PPP funding and the new, long-term, low-interest loan program may be the lifeline many small businesses like ag retailers need to stay in business throughout the economic recovery.

Read the letter to learn more about how ARA is advocating support for agribusinesses impacted by COVID-19.
