ARA Signed a Letter to President-Elect Biden Calling for STB Appointment

ARA signed a letter to President-elect Joe Biden calling on him to appoint Martin J. Oberman as chairman of the Surface Transportation Board (STB).
Oberman is a Democratic appointee currently serving as STB's vice chairman. Since joining the STB, Oberman has demonstrated his ability to collaborate and work well with fellow STB members and staff to advance the agency's mission.
Promptly appointing Oberman as chairman will help the STB to continue to implement the Surface Transportation Board Reauthorization Act of 2015, which helps farmers, agribusinesses and manufacturers be more competitive in the global marketplace while maximizing employment opportunities and safe working conditions for rail workers.
