ARA Co-Signed a Letter in Opposition of the CRA GHG Rule

ARA joined a coalition of industry groups on a letter of opposition to the Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) greenhouse gas performance measure regulations, which were finalized on November 23, 2023. Congress debated authorizing the establishment of a greenhouse gas performance measure but chose not to do so due to lack of sufficient support. Previous administrations determined it did not have the statutory authority to issue such a regulation. The coalition letter urges Congress to use any and all efforts to block this rule’s implementation.
