ARA Convenes Annual Conference, Celebrates 30th Anniversary

Today the Agricultural Retailers Association (ARA) kicked off its 2022 Conference & Expo with more than 600 agricultural retail industry professionals convening to share insights, network, and celebrate 30 years of ARA.
“A lot has changed for our industry since we last gathered for the annual ARA conference,” says 2022-2023 ARA Board Chair Ian McGregor with The McGregor Company. “But what remains consistent is our industry’s dedication to a safe and secure food system. This week, our speakers and attendees will share timely and useful insights that will inform our business decisions as we continue to navigate challenges in our supply chain, economy, and workforce recruitment efforts.”
Special events such as the ARA Invitational Golf Tournament at the prestigious Torrey Pines South Course and a Harbor Cruise tour offered participants a taste of the San Diego’s local flair before they gathered for the first educational session of the week. Risk management expert Drew Van Winkle with StoneX Financial led the Pre-Conference Session: Fertilizer Market Outlook.
“On behalf of the ARA Board of Directors, I welcome this year’s attendees as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the association,” says ARA President and CEO Daren Coppock. “During what has been another tough year in ag retail, I applaud participants for coming together to find new approaches to manage the many uncertainties in our industry and across the globe. As ARA looks onto the next 30 years in our industry, we will continue to serve as your eyes and ears in Washington.”
This afternoon’s Expo Hall grand opening reception will be a must-attend networking opportunity for attendees to build connections and discover valuable services and products to add to their company’s toolbox.
Tomorrow’s keynote and breakout session speakers will equip attendees with cutting-edge knowledge related to geopolitical developments from the Russia-Ukraine War, the farmer of the future, and more.
