GROWMARK's Chuck Spencer Honored with ARA’s Excellence in Advocacy Award

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – The Agricultural Retailers Association (ARA) is proud to announce Chuck Spencer as the recipient of the 2025 ARA Excellence in Advocacy Award, recognizing outstanding leadership and commitment to advancing sound public policy on behalf of the agricultural retail industry. Spencer is GROWMARK’s executive director of corporate and government relations.
Spencer has been a driving force in ARA’s advocacy efforts through his service on both the Public Policy and Government Relations Committees over the years. His expertise and dedication have made him an invaluable contributor to ARA’s policy development and engagement work.
Throughout his tenure, Spencer has helped draft numerous public comments submitted to the Federal Register, ensuring the voice of agricultural retailers is clearly represented in the policymaking process. He has also served as chair of ARA’s Carbon Credit and Environmental Stewardship Working Group, guiding important discussions around sustainability, climate-smart agriculture, and voluntary conservation markets.
In addition to his policy leadership, Spencer has played a key role in organizing congressional facility visits across multiple states, giving lawmakers firsthand insight into the essential work agricultural retailers perform to support America’s farmers and the rural economy.
