ARA Signed Ag Research Funding Letters to Congress, President Biden

ARA co-signed letters to President Joe Biden and Congressional leadership regarding agricultural climate research, agricultural innovation, and agricultural research infrastructure.
As Congress continues negotiating a federal infrastructure package, ARA and the more than 150 undersigned organizations call on the President and Congress to prioritize significant investments of at least $40 billion for agricultural research.
Food and agricultural research funding at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has remained fairly flat over the last 50 years when funding has increased for other research agencies by up to 20-fold in the same period, according to the letter.
